Timesheet Enhancements

Hello everyone!

In this blog post we are going to show you something completely new, an enhancement that was added to the timesheet signoff functionality where you can view Overtime, Double Time and even data related to miles and expenses, all right there in the timesheet approval screen!

To enable this, go to the Administration tab and select "Configure Timesheet Settings":

Then go to the "Timesheet Details Custom Fields" section and there you will find two new options: the first one to enable Miles and Expenses columns (which will be captured in custom fields or forms by the employee), and the second one to show the overtime and double time columns:

As always, the data is captured by the employee out in the field, in this example we can see how miles and expenses are captured using the "Total Miles Traveled" and "Total Expenses" fields inside the "End of Day Form":

At the end of the period (in this example is the end of the week), then the employee will approve the timesheet:

At this point, the Manager would come in and approve the hours and here is what the additional columns look like in our current example:

Enhancements to Edit User Events Screen

We have added a simple but very useful enhancement to the Edit User Events section, as always trying to make your life easier.

You may recall that on this specific section you used to be able to edit one day at a time, but now you can use the date filters to edit a whole period, if you need to.

Make sure to use either the Team or User filters when you use this functionality, you will get a message reminding you about this in case you don't:

So, once you have your teams or users selected, along with the time frame you would like to see, click on the Filter button and now you can get to work!

Feature Enhancement: Seeing Forms when Changing Tasks

On a previous post, we had covered the topic of Forms, how to create and maintain them, and also how to use them in the mobile application.

A new enhancement has been put in place, where not only you can control if the Form pops up the moment you clock in, clock out, or make it accessible anytime during the day, but you can also set it to pop up every time you change the task.

To enable this, make sure to move the "Change Task" option to the right on the Triggers filter, when you are inside the main screen on the form that you are editing.

Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen and you should be set!

Edit User Events: Safe Edits Enhancement

Hello everyone,

Here we are back with some good news!

We have tightened the security in regards to editing tasks and made it safer so no changes are lost. In the past, if you had selected some jobs or changed times and then attempted to insert or delete a task or a break, if you proceeded with the insertion/deletion without saving the changes, those would be lost.

Now, if you click on Edit Task to change the existing punch:

...or also if you edit any of the times for the available punches:

...the buttons to insert or delete punches (which typically would take you to a new screen) will be grayed out. This means that the system will enforce the saving of the changes before attempting to do anything else.

This of course will save you time and worries, since we are making sure that you can safely make your edits without the loss of data, and at the same time, saving you any time that you could have lost re-editing time or tasks.
